Their workshops, Fellow program and exploratory space have been uniquely designed to spark the natural curiosity and problem solving abilities in all of us. Located at 4 high street, The Maker Mill is new to a growing community of small businesses, professional offices, R&D, restaurants and retail space in the West and East Mill community.
From The Maker Mill
The Maker Mill is a drop-in afterschool/weekend maker and learning space. Members and visitors can stop by any time we’re open and either participate in one of our scheduled workshops with a Maker Mill Fellow or choose their own path with the guidance of our mentors.
In addition to exploring our open space, each day we have a Maker Mill Challenge that individuals or groups can work at solving.
There are several different workshops and flash maker sessions covering different topics related to STEM conducted by our Fellows and Mentors. Although the workshops are optional, there are benefits to participating and collaborating to grow new skills.
Members and visitors who successfully complete workshops or challenges are awarded Maker Bucks that can be used to purchase kits, t-shirts and other items in The Maker Mill shop.
